Astralis 2-0 NAVI

Astralis joined the race for the ultimate prize in esports, the Intel Grand Slam, with a deciding victory at Dreamhack Masters in Marseilles. They shut out NAVI 2-0 in a best of three series which only saw Nuke (16-4) and Inferno (16-11) played.

In-game leader Lukas «gla1ve» Rossander was the highest rated player in the final. He posted a +11 ratio with teammate Nicolai «device» Reedtz following him closely with +10, according to statistics by HLTV.org. It was Rossander who could put the final nail in the coffin by winning a 1 on 1 situation against NAVI star Aleksandr «s1mple»Kostyliev to secure the victory for the Danish team.

We have worked so hard. It has been one year without a title, so we are so happy, said Nicolai «device» Reedtz when he was interviewed on stage after the game concluded.

Astralis could take home 100 000 USD with the win in France. They also have nine more chances to win three more ESL and or Dreamhack competitions to be crowned the first ever winner of the Intel Grand Slam and 1 million dollars.
